Crate Recycling Program
Galleries and Museums...it's on you!!!
Let us take a moment to discuss our planet and what you can do as a gallery or museum to alleviate some of the wasteful practices of our industry. It is important to not only recycle your fine art shipping crates, but also to purchase used fine art shipping crates. We need to stop cutting down so many trees, not to mention all the machinery and fossil fuels associated with the logging and plywood manufacturing processes. Here is how it works.
We charge $250.00 to collect 1 to 5 crates and $350.00 to collect 6 to 10 crates. Each crate beyond 10 collected is $30.00 each. These crates must be stamped for international travel (IPPC stamp), be in excellent to very good condition (no holes, missing feet, major damage, etc.), and they need to be of sizes we need. The collection fees listed above are valid only within the 5 boroughs of NYC. Initially we will need to see photos of the crates to be sure of their quality before scheduling a pickup.
Upon payment for the collection of crates, your account will be credited $150.00 to be used the next time you purchase a crate(s) from us. This credit is applicable only to delivery fee of a future purchased crate. When you buy a crate from us, you are paying the cost of the crate and a delivery fee. Our delivery fee is a flat rate $150.00 for one shipent, not per crate that you order. This delivery fee also applies only to the 5 boroughs of NYC. Essentially, if you recycle your crates with us, you get free delivery of the next crate or crates you buy that are delivered in one shipment to the same address.
